Here at Florence Bowling Center we have tournaments for everyone!
Below is information on our most current tournament.
DATE: Sunday, February 28th, 2016
Check-In from 11am to 12:30pm
Tournament starts at 1pm
No Entries Will Be Accepted After 12:30pm
Entry Fee: $60.00 If paid before February 21st
$80.00 If paid after February 21st
$10.00 Bowling Expenses
$50.00 Prize fund
Walk-Ins may or may not be accepted depending on the size of the tournament field.
HANDICAP FORMAT:
80% Based for 220 for the Men Max. 40 pins per game
90% Based for 220 for the Women Max. 45 pins per game
$1,500.00 1st Place (based on min. 64 entries)
Prize Money Based on Number of Entries
ELIGIBILITY: This sweeper is open to all female and male bowlers and PBA Members.
Entrants must be over the age of 18.
Tournament Format:
Qualifying – All entrants will bowl a 3 game qualifier (over 6 lanes) to determine the top bowlers to advance to the First Round.
Match Play – (Bracket Format) Bowlers will be seeded based on total pin fall plus handicap.
Bowler’s opponents and lanes will be determined by seeding. Winner to be determined by total pin fall plus handicap. Loser is then ELIMINATED
TOURNAMENT RULES
1. Highest book average for the “14/15” season will be used. If there is no book average, then you must Bowl scratch. If you bowl at Florence Bowling Center and you do not have a book average, then the highest current league average after 9 games will be used. All averages will be verified by the Tournament Committee. If there is no established average, you must bowl scratch.
2. This tournament is designed to be a 1 in 8 payout. (Based on a min. of 64 bowlers)
3. The tournament directors reserve the right to rewrite or reject any average.
4. In the event of a tie during any part of the competition, a 9th and 10th frame roll off will be used to determine the winner. All roll-offs will be scratch.
5. During practice, bowlers may only bowl on their starting pair. There will be no practice balls thrown before the 2nd or 3rd qualifying games.
6. Bowlers will receive 2 practice balls on each lane prior to each round of match play.
